Simplot Underground Process Piping

Wescan was chosen as the mechanical contractor for the installation of all the underground process piping for the Simplot potato processing facility expansion in Portage La Prairie.

Using our unique prefabrication techniques, planning department, in house manpower and outside of the box thinking for piping fabrication we were able to install approx. 10,000 ft. of welded stainless steel pipe underground in an incredibly aggressive schedule, This project came in ahead of schedule and under budget.

Due to the success of this installation, Wescan was awarded several more scopes of work on this project such as the HVAC installation, above ground plumbing, rainwater leaders and structural stands for the HVAC units.
