Norway House Cree Nation Health Centre of Excellence
Wescan’s scope of work included all mechanical, electrical and structural systems.
The Shoal Lake 40 First Nation water treatment plant is located approximately 200km east of Winnipeg, just inside the Ontario border. Wescan was selected as the Mechanical, Electrical, and Misc. Metals contractor on this project, which was a great opportunity to provide our synchronized construction services.
The construction spanned over an 18 month duration, where Wescan installed and commissioned all of the equipment, chemical systems, piping, cabling, HVAC, and internal metal structures. Wescan also installed and commissioned multiple lift and pumping stations, along with decommissioning and retrofitting existing pump houses.
Wescan is very honored to have been a major part of a project that provided the Shoal Lake 40 First nation with potable drinking water after decades of boil water advisories.

Electrical design build services for the construction and field installation of 105 shipping containers, 8’ wide by 40’ long, converted into visitation pods for personal care homes across the province of Manitoba during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wescan provided our electrical installation services for the construction of a new 68,000 ft2 Data Centre to replace the aging downtown facility. This Centre houses all of the data for Great West Life across Canada which required high level security and confidentiality.
